Terms of Service

Effective June 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TenantTape app and website (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

TenantTape helps landlords receive and triage maintenance reports. Tenants submit reports through a private link without an account. We may add, change, or remove features at any time.

2. Accounts

Landlord accounts are created through Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your device secure. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

3. Subscriptions and billing

TenantTape offers a Free plan and a paid Pro plan. Pro is billed at $19.99 per month or $179.99 per year through our payment processor, Stripe. Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.

You can cancel at any time; your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

Prices may change with notice; changes will not affect the period you have already paid for.

4. Plan limits

The Free plan is limited to 1 property, 2 units, and 5 reports per unit each month; report videos are retained for 30 days. The Pro plan supports unlimited properties, up to 10 units, unlimited reports, full history, and PDF export. Limits may be adjusted over time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including by uploading unlawful content, infringing others' rights, attempting to access data that is not yours, or interfering with the Service's operation. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any tenant contact information you enter and for complying with applicable landlord-tenant and recording laws in your jurisdiction.

6. Content and responsibility

Landlords and tenants are responsible for the content they submit, including videos and descriptions. You grant TenantTape a limited license to store and process this content solely to provide the Service. TenantTape is a documentation and communication tool; it does not provide professional, legal, or maintenance advice and is not a party to any landlord-tenant relationship.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that notifications will always be delivered.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TenantTape and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if necessary to protect the Service or other users.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
